APPG Holds its Annual General Meeting

On Tuesday 2nd May, the APPG on Obesity held its Annual General Meeting. This session confirmed the Group’s status for another reporting year, and re-elected Mary Glindon MP as Chair of the Group. A full report of the meeting can be found here.

PLMR Healthcomms acts as the secretariat of the APPG on Obesity and is funded through project sponsorship provided by Slimming World, Numan and Eli Lilly and Company. Any companies involved in the APPG have no influence over the secretariat or work of the APPG on Obesity, and the officers of the APPG on Obesity have full editorial control over, and responsibility for, the APPG’s work programme and activities.

The current reporting year (2024-25) financial support is in the reporting band of £46,501-£48,000. This funding is provided by Slimming World and Eli Lilly. The secretariat previously received funding from Johnson & Johnson in 2023, which was serviced until February 2024.

This is not an official website of the House of Commons or the House of Lords. It has not been approved by either House or its committees. All-Party Parliamentary Groups are informal groups of Members of both Houses with a common interest in particular issues. The views expressed in these webpages are those of the group.
