Integrated Care System (ICS) weight management website
The Obesity APPG published a new website that assesses weight management services within England.
The website aims to act as a repository of weight management services across England. This unique tool, developed as part of the Obesity APPG’s work, is designed to support policymakers, healthcare professionals, and advocates in understanding and improving weight management services across England. This stakeholder-driven tool is designed to provide valuable insights that inform policy discussions and support collaborative efforts to tackle obesity.

The website was disseminated to officials in DHSC who we have been engaging with throughout the year. They have offered us concrete feedback on the website that we are in the process of implementing. This demonstrates the value of the website as a practical resource for government officials, supporting their understanding of the APPG’s work and ensuring that the APPG remains prescient in policy circles.
The website offers:
• Comprehensive Reports and Data – Access key research, policy briefings, and analysis on weight management services.
• Regional Insights – Find key data on weight management services across England through the ICS map, a combination of FOI findings and desk-based research, mapping the access to weight management services across the country
• Practical Tools and Guidance – Find expert insights and evidence-based recommendations to support your work.
• Opportunities for contributions – Continued collaboration through sharing reports, research, and perspectives to help strengthen this resource over time.
We are keen for this website to evolve and be populated with new evidence in the form of case studies and evidence submissions. Additionally, since the launch of the website, we have added a dedicated blogs page to highlight insights and reflections from individuals working across weight management services. We would warmly welcome any submissions for both blogs and new evidence.
